Leading From the Inside Out
Leadership isn’t just about strategy, vision, or execution—it’s about the condition of your heart. For me, the foundation of leadership doesn’t start with a business book or a motivational seminar. It starts with my faith.
My walk with Christ isn’t something I keep separate from leadership—it’s the very core of it. Faith guides my decisions, shapes my character, and reminds me daily that true success isn’t measured by titles or profits but by the lives I impact.
Faith as My Compass
Faith is more than belief—it’s alignment. Without faith, leadership is like trying to navigate without a compass. My relationship with God provides direction, clarity, and peace, especially in times of uncertainty.
When challenges arise, I don’t lead from fear. I lead from trust. Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds me: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Servant Leadership: Putting Others First
Jesus modeled servant leadership. He washed feet. He led by example. That principle drives how I lead at Rvv Corp, on the baseball field, and in my community.

- In coaching, it means putting kids’ growth above wins on the scoreboard.
- In family life, it means being present, praying together, and leading with love.
The paradox is this: by serving, I gain influence. By giving, I receive trust. By lifting others, I am lifted too.

A Lesson From the Baseball Diamond
During our championship run with the Keystone Little League Yankees, pressure was sky-high. Kids were nervous, parents were anxious, and expectations weighed heavy. Before the game, I told the boys:
“Winning matters, but it’s not the most important thing. The most important thing is how we play—with heart, courage, and respect. If we honor God, give our best effort, and encourage one another, we’ve already won.”
They played with freedom, fought back when we were down, and encouraged one another through mistakes. When we won, it wasn’t just a victory on the field—it was a victory of character.
That day reminded me that faith in leadership is about instilling values that last longer than a trophy. Championships fade. The lessons of perseverance, teamwork, and faith endure.
Walking Through Challenges With Faith
Leadership will test you. Tough decisions, financial pressures, disappointments, setbacks—these come with the territory.
But faith transforms pressure into purpose.

In a season when life felt overwhelming—running a business, coaching baseball, keeping up with responsibilities—I decided to start praying with my wife and kids every night. At first, it was simple. But soon, something powerful happened. My kids began leading prayers themselves. My wife and I found our marriage strengthened, rooted not just in love but in faith.
Those quiet moments reminded me that the boardroom and the ballfield matter, but if I don’t lead my family with faith, I’ve missed the mark.

That verse gave me the courage to move forward in faith. The decision opened doors, expanded our reach, and positioned us for greater impact.
Faith in leadership means trusting God’s plan, even when the numbers don’t add up perfectly on paper.

It’s one thing to talk about faith—it’s another to live it daily. Here’s how faith actively shapes my leadership:
